About Monica

Monica Steuer is a trilingual award-winning actress with over 20 yrs of experience in theatre, film and television. Originally from Brazil, Monica has worked in Mexico, Peru and Puerto Rico and for many years now, calls NY “home”. A graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, she has performed with many local and regional theatre companies and has been the recipient of several awards for both her stage and film work. Some of her theatre credits include: Edward II, Life is a Dream, Yerma, The House of Bernarda Alba, The Serpent, Gardel - The Musical and most recently The House of the Spirits, amongst others. TV and Film credits include: Law & Order: SVU, Total Recall, Destiny Has No Favorites (Best Actress Award at the Viña del Mar International Film festival, Chile), The Ministers with Harvey Keitel, The Position (Best Short at the Big Apple Film Festival), America with Edward James Olmos and the yet to be released 200 Letters with Tony Award winner Lin Manuel Miranda and Sleeping with the Fishes with Ana Ortiz and Gina Rodriguez; to mention a few. Monica is also a trilingual voice-over artist. She has voiced countless commercials and can be heard as the voice of MACYS in Spanish for both TV and radio.
