SYNOPSIS:

Inspired by true life events, as told in the autobiography A Shattered Dream by John Scully When he was a boy, desperately poor and perpetually hungry, DAIGH DELANEY dreamed of nothing more than growing up to own his own store. After years of hard work and sacrifice, he returns, with his family, to his native Ireland to live out that dream. But dreams and reality are often very different things. This poor country boy finds himself in a city ruled by crime, police corruption, and a desperate political movement demanding things be set right, no matter the cost. Caught in the middle, he will risk his family, and his boyhood dream, to fight for what he believes is rightfully his. How far will he go? And will he be able to live with himself when it's all over?
