Julie is an Emmy nominated producer, writer & director with over 20 years of experience developing and creating story-driven television programs and videos.
After completing USC’s graduate screenwriting program, Julie worked in film development, evaluating scripts for CAA, UTA, and Innovative Artists. She was also a writers’ assistant on beloved shows like Saved By The Bell: The New Class, All That, and Kenan & Kel.
As a story, field, and development producer, as well as a Co-Ep on pilots, pitch presentations, and series such as Biggest Loser, Beauty & the Geek, Making the Band, and LA Hair, Julie has worked in all genres of non-scripted television including Docusoaps, Competition, Romance, and Make-Over. She has developed shows from the ground up; edited, directed, and managed large post departments; and worked on shows for ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, BRAVO, TCL, TV LAND, MTV, VHI, Discovery, and Disney.
Julie is also the founder of Famous Shake Creative Video Production. Famous Shake creates videos for non-profits, foundations, and clients who work to make the world a better place, including Jewish Family Service LA, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Americans for Peace Now, Harvard University, Hoag, and many tech and healthcare startups. Famous Shake videos have helped raise millions of dollars to support vital life-saving and social services for the community at large.
Between her work in television and the non-profit world, Julie has worked with people from all walks of life - ER doctors, prize-winning research scientists, social and front-line workers, Holocaust survivors, and major players in the entertainment business like Jason Alexander, Julianna Margulies, Marta Kaufman, Kenan Thompson, JD Roth, Courtney Kemp, and Steve Martin, to name a few.
