About Sharice

Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Sharice has always had a love for writing poetry and short stories. During her senior year in high school, Sharice fell in love with the art of filmmaking during her time in a film study class. With an early love for movies and television combined with her imaginative writing, Sharice decided she would pursue her bachelor's degree in Mass Communications at the Great Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, FL. During her years at B-CU (2007-2012), Sharice wrote, produced and directed the campus talk show, B-CU Today, provided writing and shooting support to the campus' television station, WM&G and served as a member in the poetry club.

Post receiving her undergraduate degree, Sharice couldn't shake her desire to be involved in learning the art behind great filmmaking, thus leading her to apply and get accepted to the New York Film Academy's Los Angeles campus in 2012, where she would pursue her Masters in Fine Arts with a concentration in filmmaking for two years.

Sharice took great advantage of her years studying at NYFA, where she shot projects on Universal's backlots, served on a plethora of sets for her fellow classmates' film projects, alongside writing, producing and directing her own films.

Since receiving her masters degree in 2014, Sharice has published two Urban Fiction books under Jessica Watkins Presents publishing house, and co-founded Crowned Productions, where she serves as a Co-CEO, screenwriter, producer, director and cinematographer for the company.
