Vicki Peterson is a screenwriter and professor of screenwriting at Columbia College Hollywood. She is formerly the founding partner of Catharsis, which mentored writers and develops screen projects for various producers. Vicki’s TV Pilot, Alum Rock Ave, was with Herrick Entertainment. Her webseries, Judgmental Moose, was produced by ReKon/Justin Bell Productions and was released in 2015. Her feature, Mother at War is with producer Ken Stewart. Her feature, Zoe and the Zebra, won "Best Screenplay" at both the Irvine International Film Festival and the California Independent Film Festival, and won the Silver Prize at the Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest. Several of her scripts have been selected as finalists for several film festivals and fellowships. Vicki is formerly the director of both the Writing for Film and Television Program and Producing and Entertainment Executive Program at Act One, Inc., of which she is also an alumna. Before that, Vicki was a development executive at Origin Entertainment and Hero Pictures. Vicki got her start in theatre, graduating from University of California, San Diego with a degree in Theatre Arts and working at the Tony award –winning La Jolla Playhouse on several pre-Broadway productions. Her MFA in Writing for Stage and Screen is from New Hampshire Institute of Art, and her book, Notes to Screenwriters, was published by Michael Wiese Productions in 2015.
