About Chris

Chris is a former High School teacher, 5 years, English and Spanish. After devouring works by Vogler, Mckee, Aristotle and of course the indomitable Campbell, Chris penned 5 scripts, 3, contest winners. This script, WATCHDOG delivers a fresh, distinctly different take on serial killer movies earning a strong Consider from Ashley Scott Meyers' SYS. Chris' other script, NUNGUI, DEMON QUEEN (aka JIVARO) snagged a Top 1% Double Recommend from the highly and widely renowned Stage 32. Chris was mentored by Dave Trottier of the Screenwriter's Bible. BTW -- Chris' fiery passion for the Horror genre can only be quenched by scripting dark, gritty and shocking stories.

Chris was born in Guyana where no electricity at home meant no television but that did not stop him from soaking up movies, in fact, all movies Hollywood and Bollywood, so much so the Raj Mahal Cinema became a second home. And as if that's not enough, right after the movie event, like a ritual, Chris would hurry home to a gathering of siblings and neighbors only to be awed with more storytelling, this time told flawlessly by both his mom and dad.

A few years later, the compulsion to tell these stories became a fire that can only be quenched by letting these stories out -- So for Chris, a former high school teacher -- after graduating from Gotham Writers Workshop in New York City and devouring works by Vogler, Field, McKee, Trottier, Aristotle and of course, the indomitable Campbell, Chris penned 5 scripts, 3, contest winners. ---Chris' Goals?--- Develop my own content starting with The Watchdog (a distinctly different serial killer story) -- raise additional financing and produce that baby while scripting new, mind-melting movies.
