About Becky

Becky MacDormand is a freelance director and writer in Vancouver and the Greater Vancouver area as well as Co-Artistic Producer of emerging theatre company, Clockwork Theatre. Having graduated in 2013 from Trinity Western University with a BA in Theatre, Becky has had the opportunity to direct many productions since. Selected directing credits include: Never Swim Alone, and Crimes of the Heart (SAMC Theatre); Holy Mo (META Theatre); the devised piece Eden Ablaze (The Cultch/Ignite! Festival); the original play A Good Way Out (Stone’s Throw/Pacific Theatre); The Glass Menagerie (TIC); and Fool for Love (Clockwork Theatre). She is also very passionate about writing and has had the opportunity to have a few of her short films produced, such as: Run, Sprint, Fall (Jef Gibbons Creative); Jokes on You (Laura-Anne Productions); and won the 2012 Cinergy Film Festival award for "Best Screenplay" for her script, New on the Job (Sunrise Sunset). Becky hopes to receive her MFA in creative writing, specifically for stage and screen, in the near future.
