About David

Fifth-generation Japanese-American, David Moriya, is a historical drama screenwriter. With his background in writing features, David discovered his family's past as Japanese Immigrants and began writing a series based on the Japanese-American story. As an activist, and armed with knowledge of immigrant history, his career takes him in a path towards wiring for diversity inclusive rooms that tell true stories of people of color, from the perspective of the oppressed.

David is a Brooklyn, New York transplant from California now living in Los Angeles to break into the television industry.
