Hi my name is Jim Pfeifer. I am composer for film and TV based in Phoenix, Arizona.
I have a passion for composing and recording music. I've been composing music for a number of music libraries for over the years including PMG Music, Pump Audio/Getty Images, K&W Publishing (and others) as well as a variety of short films.
I use a variety of instruments to create my music, depending on what the music calls for. I compose in a number of styles and enjoy creating pieces that mix acoustic instruments (guitar, ukulele, dobro, lap steel, mandolin) with orchestral and modern synth textures to create unique soundscapes. I also have a knack for capturing retro-sounding arrangements that hearken back to the 50s and 60s as well as some of the more sentimental sounds of Gypsy Jazz.
One of my pieces (The Invasion of Mayberry) won an award in the 2013 International Songwriting Competition for the instrumental category. I am also an active performing musician, playing in a Beach Boys tribute act based in the Phoenix area.
Unique traits: Guitar is my main instrument (electric and acoustic). I also play dobro, lap-steel guitar, ukulele, and bass.
Film (Short and Drama) Composer Invisible Me follows the life of a child growing up in a drug neglected situation all from the point of view of the child.
