Webinar soon! Introduction to Cinematography

Cinematography is at the heart of filmmaking. Some would argue that it is the most important part of motion pictures. Either way, without it there is no cinema.

Creating images to tell a story dates back to the days of cavemen. Yet it’s only been 130 years since the invention of cinema. Using moving images to tell stories offers human beings a powerful way to tell stories, communicate ideas and connect with audiences across the globe.

However glamorized, cinema is a very difficult industry where making a movie sometimes hinges on miracles. Obstacles stand at every turn. The creation of moving images is dependent on a web of factors which the cinematographer must navigate in order to successfully accomplish the job at hand. A blend of knowledge, experience, leadership, collaboration and technical expertise (amongst other things) is necessary to develop a thriving career as a cinematographer.

Hosted by an award-winning cinematographer with a list of credits that includes Stranger Things, South Park and last summer’s box office success Sound Of Freedom!
