Filmmaking / Directing : Curious by Avion Ashford

Does anyone know a way to get in contact with agents?

Stage 32 Staff - Julie

Hey Avion, this is Julie from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Ask Stage 32 to Development, as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions, and all the best to you!

Pick up the phone, use email, if you have a special actor you are after google there name, agent is given.

Amanda Toney

We have some great educational webinars on how to find agents/managers as well!

Erik A. Jacobson

If you subscribe to IMDBpro you get contact info for most actors. If both an agent and manager are listed, contact the manager first. Agents are usually more money-oriented, while managers are more career-oriented.

Living in the EU its much easier to deal with agents. The listen and send project to their clients, but in many instances you are also given there personal address for you to handle script personally. In dealing with US agents be prepared for an onslaught of quick Q & A. Many ask what are you willing to pay before they even request your script. etc.

Monserrate Pagan Jr

"Many ask what are you willing to pay before they even request your script. etc." My standard answer is "Anything - make me an offer"

Rene Asch

Its that type of answer that raises the actors fee. An agent for a "B" actor would raise his fee if he can get it from someone like you.

Monserrate Pagan Jr

Rene you do not get the point - since I would not know what the going rate is, it would be stupid to make an offer because like you said it might be more then justified I would have a figure to work with

Rene Asch

If you have a performer in mind for your film research what he or she received in past films. If the were recipients of an award the fee rises, etc. Here in the EU things work differently then in US.
