Good Day Auteurs. My name is Jason and I write on behalf of new members, The Grimm Generation. We are an acoustic duo (though not folk), all original singer/songwriters. Our songs are small and simple, pretty or dark. I have always had the perception our musical style would work within the context of narrative plots, character development, selling a mood, even if barely heard on the background. So, a question. I have never worked with filmakers before (aside from video) and was wondering if this opportunity (small original and fully owned songs, for little or no pay) would appeal to independent filmakers? Does the idea of using local original artists seem more reasonable than awaiting for a Bon Iver song to come down a bit in price? An honest question. Thank you for reading.
Hello Jason, do you have anything you can upload for us to hear? thanks, ~jim
