Thursday Plugin: Slate Digital's Revival (Free)

Greetings Stage 32 composers and sound designers! Today I'd like to introduce you to Slate Digital's Revival. It is FREE (it does require iLok activation and an email) You can use this in pretty much any format (AU/VST/AAX). So beside it being free, this is actually a fantastic mixing plugin. http://www.slatedigital.com/products/revival This download also comes with their Virtual Mix Rack (VMR) which allows you to try out a few other compressors/eqs from Slates' VMR for two weeks. The Revival will stay active though. So what is Revival? Think of it as a coloring EQ, Saturator, slight compression, etc all in TWO KNOBS! Its a very quick way to help bring out the highs in a mix or make something more punchy. For a free plugin - this thing is really well crafted and shows the quality that Slate Digital has in their plugins. Great on Drums and Vocals! Enjoy!

THis is very cool! I'll share it with my program at UMiami

I second these sentiments-- this plugin found its way into one of my mixes almost immediately, adding real balls to a rather sounding acoustic guitar track. Highly recommended, even if it were a paid plugin!

Are there professional (paid and supported), vst/i (instrument) plugins out there that DO NOT use iLok or can be used offline?
