Filmmaking / Directing : Does anybody know? by Corinne Stave

Does anybody know?

I'm just asking if there exist a way to connect a crew working on animation in different countries, with storyboard, actors and such. Mainly getting a long distance work relationship without destroying the project in prosess.

Amanda Toney

Corinne, that is exactly what the Stage 32 Jobs board is for!

I know that part of connecting with people. I meant transfer of clips of movie from others to the one main branch.

This is in its infancy but looks hopeful to do just that, http://nimblecollective.com/ keep me posted on your progress I will be establishing a pipeline for this sort of thing soon and would love to know what else you find.

It may be worth posting this under animation as well.

I read the link, I'm not sure that is it I'm looking for. It won't be ONE workplace, it will be multiple all over the world. By combining animators and others to work on one movie. So the clips will be combined at the studio, and so on.

Laurie Ashbourne

That's exactly what the platform will be, this link explains it in detail. http://www.studiodaily.com/2015/05/rex-grignon-nimbles-vision-global-ani... As far as clips being 'combined at the studio' I'm not sure I follow what you're looking for.

Well, since I will be hiring from Norway at my studio, animators from other countries will be given jobs of drawing line animation, colour, effects and so on. Any discussion while creating the movie will be done through skype, so we can be on the same basis on what kind of art, characters and story in the movie shall be. So animators will draw sketch and line in scenes they will be hired for. Therefore "clips", and I will need every work done sent to my computer in studio, where I know some locals with movie experience to do the rest of clipping, credits and such into a complete movie. And there lies the problem, how do I get the "clips/scenes/works" that have been done, sent to my studio online without risk of damage to it. I really don't know how to explain more detailed than this.

Oh, when I just read the next link you send, it was the kind I was looking for. Thank you :)
