Avengers Age of Ultron

What Can I say I took the wife to the movies We plunked down 23 bucks for the 3D version and I guess maybe I've changed or become jaded because I seriously found the film lacking it felt like a lot of the time the actors were just going thru the motions nothing inherently Bad just nothing that stood out either. Plot dead on arrival, a lot of fine work went in to the movie but at the end credits I found myself wishing I had waited for it to hit the 5 dollar bin at Wal Mart or Hastings

It's not just you. ** SPOILERS ** Everything they did right in Avengers 1, they did wrong in Avengers 2. I actually look at Capt. America 2 as a better Avengers 2, then Age of Ultron. For me, the biggest flaw was too many characters. And where they chose to spend character time (as in any thing you could call character development) was with characters (Hawkeye) that didn't tie into the main plot, so it felt like they wasted time. Or forcing a relationship (Black Widow & Hulk) that also didn't serve the plot. In addition, they really didn't have an antagonist. I know, there's Ultron, but when two of the main protagonists create the Big Bad???? That is not a real antagonist. And it's my newest pet peeve, because it seems to be popping up a lot lately. With Marvel's wealth of comic book bad guys, you'd think they could have found a true villain. I'm with you, Vitale, I won't be running to the theater for the next installment.

I agree that there were too many characters in this installment, even to the point that in the party scene were all of the wanna be avengers (War Machine, Falcon, ect...) sucked up all of the character development in the film making it to long to go forward. The movie was made I feel for just pure action.
