Script Submission Tracking Software

As the Development arm of my production company expands, I need to integrate a system for tracking and organizing the scripts that come in, including writer information, coverage info, etc. What methods and/or software do you use and suggest? All the best, Kia M. Kiso

Michael Bertrand

We like to use dotproject.

Paul Glen Neuman

I use the StoryTracker app on my iPad. It's an easy way to keep track of submissions.

Thank you, Michael - is there much that you need to set up to get it working for your needs? Paul - is it geared towards writers or can production company's find it valuable too? Joe - I might be looking for something off the shelf and I think other's would find it valuable too. We should chat off-line.

Kia, I think you would find the program valuable and easy to use. It is geared towards writers, but there is room for notes etc. that could work for you. You can get Story Tracker Lite for free from the iTunes App Store to try it out. That's what I did and, soon after, bought the full app. It's a steal at $7.99.

Thanks, Paul. We will check it out and see if it fits our needs.

Sorry it took me so long to get back with you. It took me a couple of days to set it up and customize it. I've been using it for two years now.
