So this is a fun little experiment I've concocted recently... I've used AI to see what a trailer for "The Shining" would look like if it was shot in a vertical aspect ratio. Please don't crucify me for this act of blasphemy... I'm doing this with the utmost respect to the source material. It's more of a thought experiment to think about what this technology could mean to the art of cinematography and filmmaking in a (near) future when content creation and consumption will be very different than they are now.

I think it's an interesting question, especially in the age of mobile devices.

Hi Oren, not sure I see watching movies in vertical aspect. This looks good but sure hope it doesn't change that drastically. I get that many only watch on their phones.
Hey Xochi, I never watch on my phone, this is more of a thought experiment. I think it will change drastically. Much more than what I did here. I just pulled the frame, top and bottom. Imagine if was 360 degrees (theoretically can be done with AI today). Imagine if you could walk around the hallways of the overlook hotel. Imagine if you could interact with characters. Content is going to change dramatically as technology evolves
