Panasonic GH4, Sony RX 10 II, Or Canon 7D Mark 2. Budget Of $1300

Ok I've Been Using My Canon T3i For 2 & Half Years. Now Its Time For An Upgrade, Im Looking For My Next Personal Camera, Cuz I Want To Start Filming Shorts, And Better Quality Music Videos,, But Im Having Trouble In Deciding What Should Be My Next Camera, Any Suggestions?

Tony Glaser

GH4 hands down. While I think the panasonic requires a tad more lighting it shoots 4K and has variable frame rate. I shot a music video with the GH4 and was very happy with the end result.

thnx my mind is leaning towards the gh4, just learned that they are releasing a sony a7s 2 soon

Go for GH4, it's by far a better camera but if you are skeptical about cost of buying accessories I suggest you go for the Canon 7D Mark 2, It's lens and accessories are way cheaper compared to the Lumix GH4.

Here's an article from Filmmaker that might offer some insight as well. http://filmmakermagazine.com/95539-as-4k-expands-now-might-be-the-time-t...

Welcome.

Just a note. You can rent this gear and check it out. Get some hands on time. Use it as a reason to shoot a short, rent the gear and put it through it's paces. That is how I ended up buying my Canon C100.

Great advice, John.
