Edinburgh Short Film Festival Submissions Now Open for 2016 Screening the best in contemporary short cinema at venues across the Scottish capital - from October 26th to November 6th 2016. Dedicated and passionate about short film, The Edinburgh Short Film Festival has brought some of the best contemporary Scottish, UK and international short film to the Scottish capital since its inception in 2011. This year we are excited to announce that we have a programme exchange project with Japan's biggest short film festival, Short Shorts Film Festival based in Tokyo and we're taking short films to film festivals and events in Italy.
