I've seen a lot of production companies at AFM say they're in television production, as well as film production. But no ones seems to be looking for television projects. As we get closer and closer to AFM this year, I'm realizing I maybe attending the wrong thing. If so, what Recommendations for TV markets/cons are out there (I only found one in New York)?

Realscreen is the place to go with TV ideas. It happens twice a year - New Orleans in January and Santa Monica in June. You can try to sell feature length docs at the AFM but it's mostly scripted film.
Thanks, Angela. Realscreen is an 'unscripted ' haven, no? For Reality TV? My project does not fall into that category.

Ah OK, sorry, I thought you meant it was an unscripted pilot. Maybe look into mipcom and natpe.. Best of luck to you!

A friend here on the East Coast shot his own pilot episode, flew to MIPTV conference in France to sell to Buyers. He didn't. But he met contacts for another TV idea. Got a paid writing gig on a pilot that didn't get picked up.

Hi Timothy, AFM is all about long form. Many participants are also involved in TV but it isn't why they attend.
Thank you, Jonathan. My team and I bought our tickets already (LOL) . So, I guess we'll have to make it work to the best of our ability. No refunds right? If you have any insights as to how I might make lemonade out our attendance at AFM, I would appreciate your input. What markets should I be investing in?
