IDK about you guys, but I find the decline of daytime TV to be a bit sad. My Grandmother was one of those ladies who regularly watched soaps so I was familiar with the plots and the characters and just... how they worked. Now, you can barely find them. There seems to be 2-3 left on like maybe 3 networks. It really makes me sad, there used to be a glut of these things and I miss them lol. Maybe they're not the pinnacle of the best writing or acting, but, they were fun. It's a real shame we can't have a good daytime market again. The demographic just isn't there anymore. Maybe its just me that misses them but I sincerely hope not, somebody else must miss these "stories" lol. I had stopped watching for a long time but back in 07 when I was doing my animated short I'd often work to the background noise that was One Life to Live and I soon found myself absorbed in the plot. They were a fun little escape into the lives of fictional people who could literally get away with anything. When things were difficult on my short (and they were, every day presented a new challenge) I could always look at these guys and think "You know, life could be worse, I could be being stalked by weirdo while my sister hooks up with the love of my life." I guess you could say misery loves company. Does anyone else miss soaps? -G.R.B

The only one I ever liked was Santa Barbara and that was due to the amazing Lane Davies and his amazing character. I was recently watching youtubes of scenes with his character. I realised how much I missed that character.
OMGGG Santa Barbara! God that was my childhood, watching TV with my Grandmother in the summer. :D Loved Lane Davies' Mason Capwell. Does he act anymore?
