Introduce Yourself : Editor, Producer, Videographer, Photographer as well as several other roles looking for the next step in my career. by Christopher Ott

Hi Everyone,

I recently just discovered this site and I’m

liking it so far! A little bit about me is that after graduating from Ohio State in 2017, I tried to get a job in media and nobody would hire me, because of my lack of experience.

Over the past two years while working at a tech company, I’ve gotten more experience than I thought I would get especially for being 25. I currently have two internships here in Ohio, one at 90.5 WCBE as a Photographer, Videographer and Editor. While at my other internship I am a producer on a radio show for the local fox affiliate 610 WTVN. This show I do 2-3 days a week including Saturday mornings for the Live recording. This show airs across Canada and most of the eastern portion of the United States. I also have been very lucky to have gotten a few IMDB credits along the way for a few short films as an Editor, Sound Editor, Sound Mixer, Assistant Director, First AC and Behind the scenes work. I just wrapped my first every DP credit just about a week ago and I am editing it now. A few of these credits have not appeared yet on IMDB, but they will soon. The last thing is that I am currently writing my first screenplay based on a book with the author who is currently in Michigan. I am very excited about it, however I can’t say much about it right now.

I currently am at the point in my career and life where I want to branch out of Ohio and see what’s out there and connect and do more with others. Feel free to connect with if you wish and I would love to help collaborate on projects no matter where they are or what stage they are in! I am hoping to be moving to LA here in August, however until then I’m always willing to work remotely and stay in constant communication.
