Introduce Yourself : Emerging Screenwriter with a unique, yet relatable voice. by Qiana Bailey

Qiana Bailey

Emerging Screenwriter with a unique, yet relatable voice.

My name is Qiana Bailey, and I’m excited to introduce myself as a full-time screenwriter, director, singer/song writer/human rights activist based in Atlanta. I specialize in character-driven narratives across genres. So far I’ve written family drama, psychological thrillers, horror, dramedy, social-issue pieces, and a period piece. I bring a deeply emotional, culturally rich lens to every project I touch.

I’ve been writing full time since April of this year, and have completed 11 screenplays so far, including pilots, features, and shorts. Since dedicating my life to writing, I was awarded quarter finalist in the Filmmatic TV pilot awards.

I’m currently looking to collaborate with filmmakers, producers, and fellow writer/directors who are interested in developing a short film together. I love building layered characters, exploring the human psyche, and crafting stories that feel grounded, bold, and visually compelling.

I’m also seeking representation and would love to connect with managers or agents who are passionate about championing fresh, ambitious voices with a diverse creative slate.

If you’re open to collaborating or just want to connect and talk shop, feel free to reach out! I’m always excited to meet new creatives and explore what we can build together.

Looking forward to connecting,

Qiana Bailey

Hi Qiana, I'd like to read some of your social issue pieces, maybe you'd like to read some of mine. Exposition and pacing is so critical in social issue stories, i'd like to learn how to do that more effectively, I have a giant challenge ahead of me with a new story I started. Would live to chat.
