I’m a screenwriter with a portfolio of original, high-concept scripts spanning comedy, nonfiction, sci-fi, alternate history, and intimate drama—each grounded in strong world-building, character-forward storytelling, and commercial viability. These are cinematic stories with emotional stakes, crafted for intelligent audiences and genre-savvy markets.
My most recent screenplay is fan fiction - Star Trek: Risa. Set in the Trek universe but operating firmly as a spy thriller, Risa fuses the world-building of Roddenberry with the cerebral tension of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. With multiple canonical references, reimagined archetypes, and deep-lore Easter eggs, Risa is the origin story of Starfleet Intelligence's most secretive division, Section 31, blending Cold War atmosphere with black ops espionage on one of Trek’s most iconic planets. Think Fantasy Island meets The Blacklist.
I also created a short web teaser, and using multiple AI tools, I created the visuals and a Trek-inspired theme built off an analysis of existing themes.

Hi, Jason Sylvester. Great to meet you. I watched Star Trek growing up. I've written fan fiction scripts too. Just short scripts. I write them to showcase my writing skills on social media and for fun.

This looked like a lot of fun to put together Jason Sylvester. So it looks like it takes place during Archer's command, yes? They never really elaborated on Risa on TNG so this sounds interesting. How does it mesh with the recent S31 movie?

Leonardo Ramirez 2 yes, it was fun, I worked for 24 hrs straight on one stretch. Yes, it starts 3 yrs before the events of Enterprise, but incorporates a handful of interactions from the series, sometimes just a mention of a situation, other times directly including a scene. It was Enterprise S01E25 that 'Trip'd' the idea for this screenplay, as Trip and Malcolm were on Risa being handled by two aliens posing as Risans. That made me think, what if the whole of Risan hedonism was a front, and it was just a giant honey trap to capture intel from all the high-ranking guests; then I realized what an interesting plot that would be, and off I went.
I did not see the movie, but I saw a lot of negative reviews.

That's a great premise idea Jason Sylvester. I met the actor that played Malcom a while back. Super nice guy. Against the advice of some buddies of mine, I watched S31. I don't like to say anything negative about a show or movie I've seen so all I'll say is that it had no effect or lasting repercussions on Trek lore whatsoever. You're safe. I dare say they may have been better off throwing money at your project. Most fans who have followed Trek closely know what Risa is. I'd love to see how your progresses.
