After moving countries and returning to my passion and love of acting after 35yrs, it was a MAJOR BLOW to be cast in a Netflix production. I was due to fly to UK on the Monday and they placed 14 day quarantine restrictions the Friday before! Red lit! Devastated but very determined.
Born in the UK I moved with my parents to Cape Town, South Africa age 3. After drama school I went straight into acting, was doing really well and then lost my nerve after losing 3 auditions. That’s life and as much as I wish I hadn’t left acting I’ve learnt so much as a Production Designer over the last 35yrs...I’ve also learnt a lot about life!
2 yrs ago, at age 57, I decided It’s NEVER TOO LATE. My CV built up quickly in Cape Town with international roles and a Best Supporting Actress award. Due to family circumstances I moved to Perigueux, France and got a lead in an advert in Paris...and then Covid! So the news from the Netflix role was devastating...but there must be a reason it happened.
Things will open up again and I will persevere.
In turn everyone stay positive xxx
My SPOTLIGHT SHOWREEL is attached should serendipity be present ... I’d be only too happy to join you on your project xxx
Never too late, indeed, Tracey. We are the same age. So sorry for the last minute change with the UK/quarantine. Keep up the good work!
