Hey all,
So far 2025 has been a year of firsts. A thriller. A western. A romantic comedy. And I've been darn proud of them.
So, what's next...
A BUDDY ACTION feature (which will become a novel).
Think Bad Boys. Think Hobbs and Shaw. Think Lethal Weapon.
It's one of my favorite genres and something that I think Hollywood would enjoy.
BOOOM. BAM.POW.
You guys know what I mean.
Title: Plane, Trains and Automobiles
Logline: When a geological terrorist threatens to destroy the world's ecosystem through a series of disaster, a anti-terrorism specialist must escort the lone survivor scientist to a secret location to destroy a catastrophic bomb before it gets into the hands of the terrorist group threatening the world.
Comps: Bad Boys meets Hobbs and Shaw
So let me know you thoughts and what are some of your favorite buddy action movies.

Some of my favorite buddy action films that really nail the chemistry and tone are Shanghai Noon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Men in Black, and The Rundown. They all have that perfect mix of conflict, comedy, camaraderie, and unexpected heart that really elevates the genre.
One thing I’d gently caution is the use of Planes, Trains and Automobiles as a title, it’s such an iconic and deeply associated property that it might work against you. When something is that well-known, it’s often better to craft a new title that’s all your own.
Also, I’d love to hear more about how you plan to adapt this as a novel. The buddy action genre is so rooted in the visual language of film, how do you envision shifting that energy into a format that relies on internal pacing, structure, and voice to carry the momentum?
