Jonathan Bryce is a former SANDF soldier, who was recruited by the SADI (South African Department of Intelligence). He now works as an agent for the secret sector, and he’s specialty is contract killings. He has never disappointed and because he has a set of rules in which he follows, and it’s because of them he finds it hard to accept a high level contract. When he is asked by the agency to find an international high classified criminal from France who has been missing in action for about 5 years, the agency expect Jay to find Vinnie Mazzini in less than five days. Which is ridiculous but the job is paying well enough he can finally retire. He takes the job but it comes with conditions, for the first time in his career he must work with people on the job, and the guys they give him are a little amateurish. BURR and ICE are constantly going at each other, debating about the minor details like which came first, the chicken or the egg type of debates which are unnecessary. But the guys are good once they stop the nonsense and into the job, so it’s not much of a bother, just as long as they stay away from him. Plot Outline The story takes place in Pretoria but not within the city, for the most part, things occur in the Apartment buildings just a distance away, the cramped part of town; the parts where there’s risky interchange and that one minute drug dealer always just around the corner from everyone. Jay, our hit-man; hires an apartment in Sunnyside to look for the man he is hired to take out and this is just the right place to look for someone who doesn’t want to be found, if you are someone who can last a day that is. During his stake out he realizes that the room next door is being used to harbor young girls who are forced to be sex workers. He becomes intrigued by one girl in particular, Sammy, and he then decides to help all the girls, whilst having to complete his contractual obligation.
