It's actually a reworked version of my own fan adaptation of a old game I used to play. The game was for DOS and had a few textwall story chunk throughout, so I took all those little kernels and baked them into some explosive action and romance.
I even managed to conatct the game original creator, who is redoing it as of now for an updated release, alas... he wasn't impressed with my story. Basically, he had different vision for the the sci-fi elements. Now the story just has some references to the game in additon to other aviation-based action movies.
And finally: fellow action and sci-fi writers! Where you at? It'd be cool to network and collaborate.

Action and Sci-Fi writer here, Michael Dzurak. Your post reminds me of a feature script I wrote way back that was heavily influenced by the Resident Evil game franchise.

That's cool, Maurice Vaughan, was it fan fiction or a your own thing? Either way, I find fan fiction fascinating in that you can practice off of stories you really like. I wouldn't publish it, I don't really write fan fiction, but I often think that way and eventually those ideas make their way into stories and scripts in new forms.
