Does it feel like for certain contests, for example: a female driven script contest, that certain genres play better than others. I feel like dramas do better in these contest than a science-fiction or fantasy.

In our 3 iterations of the Female Driven contest, our winners were a Drama, a Sports Movie, then a Comedy last year. I do think a wide scoping Sci-Fi/Fantasy or Action/Thriller or horror script could win though. It's totally possible and the cream always rises to the top. Had horror, action, mystery, period piece, thriller, and sci-fi scripts among last year's finalists.
