Galaxy Quest as an example - do you guys and dolls ever pick up things that stay with you from a movie, more than the main plot?

For me with Galaxy Quest it's the moment where the kid is trying to help tim allen and sigourney weaver save the world but he has to take the rubbish out, (and the recycling) "listen to your mother" was my takeaway, it's quite funny, really funny. But some things from movies resonate because they are layers deep and they repeat over your lifetime. In memory, in life, in phases of life. also "this episode was poorly written!" is my favourite line. Is that a measure of good writing then? and if so, why did the writer not do anything else? and why is Dean Parisot the one recognised? also TIL it was a Spielberg side-project.

I pick up things that stay with me from movies, PolyD Flynt. Sometimes from the main story, the B Story, and the subplot(s). The things I pick up resonate with me or get me to think about things. It's great to hear that a reader or audience member picked up things from my stories.
