Wanted to add to my roster of places to submit and tried Road Map--had one of the worst experiences ever. They may or may not be legit, just be forewarned and proceed with caution. Spoke to friends about their own experiences and was informed this is not an anomaly. Still livid.

Why didn't you research them before submitting?
What do you mean by bad experience? Name the executive you pitch to and what happened. I believe Roadmap Owner used to own Happy Writer's site. Both the same services but RM has a fancier website. Ive seen the execs same solicit on both sites but that doesn't mean anything- or the execs have lots of free time at their salaried jobs to charge for pitchers.

For the record, I did research RM--but as CJ Walley said you hear both good and bad things and it isn't like they have a ranking at the BBB--it's one of those proceed with caution types things. Took the plunge and got burned. For what it is worth, it wasn't an exec or pitch I have an issue with. Let's just say when they are in the wrong, they have a tendency to get nasty--even if you are not instigating a situation. I always try to approach any given problem or concern diplomatically or with humor, as it has always serviced me well. Didn't here. Being maltreated when you've done nothing wrong angers you, so I am posting this here just to say if you use them proceed with caution. Anyone who wants further details can DM.
i dont have stakes on any paid sites but how does your complaint help the community here on Stage 32 forum? Just tell us your experience at RM.
Where or who else are you gonna give your $$$ now? Stage 32 Happy writer's pitch? Both pitch sites were created by the same owner.
Dan II also use Virtual Pitchfest and Inktip--may stick with those.

All I can say about RM, they don't deliver what they promise. Example: I was just testing them out, so for FREE they had offered me a FREE read of "first 10 pages feedback" well I send it, never got the feedback and this is months ago. They lost me. I will pay S32 whom I trust, know and love everyone here, before I spend a dime at RM who by the way its really expensive all around.
Thanks Alicia for reaffirming my instincts to stay away from RM who we all know who the leader is. "Amazing!!" Stick to S32 Alicia, we got your back here girl.

Thanks so much brotha' Jorge--my experience was actually very similar only I was supposed to be let into a class to work on some pages with a group--not only did they not send me a link day of--the person I tried to get ahold of ignored me for days as I politely reached out to learn what happened, never apologized and reacted cattily and condescendingly when I got upset...never again. THANK YOU Sweetie -- we writers have to stick together--we only have each other in this dog eat dog industry.

Dan M, to correct you... Happy Writers may have been started by the same person, but that ended soon after it was aquired by S32. And it has long been changed... Not the same. ;)

Alicia, here at S32 and the entire TEAM, if u have a concern, and you write to the Team, they will respond, including RB, and do all that they can to address it and make it right. Btw: thanks for the connection request. Honored.
Indeed, in the time I have been using them and VPF they have been right on time and willing to answer questions, why, it's almost like they care or something ;-) NP, connections is how we gotta roll in this life, on and off the boards ... :-D
