Screenwriting : Learning the ropes. by James D Salomon

Learning the ropes.

Creativity alone can land a job in perfect circumstances. I would like to know if their is a place to watch a prerecorded pitch. To learn and build confidence prior to pitching.

Dan MaxXx

Youtube Max Landis

Elisabeth Meier

Well, usually you'll never find recorded pitches as those who pass won't show it and those who get it sold either. But: here is a very creative kind of a pitch. Sounds as if he's really creating the story while talking. By this you see how long a live pitch online usually is (7-8 minutes max.) and how much you have to tell that people get an idea of your script. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9nL22iKUFs

Erik Grossman

As Dan mentioned, Max Landis' pitch for Superman is pretty great.

Tony Cella

Max Landis is also the son of successful writer and director John Landis.

Elisabeth Meier

lol. Who was his actual entrance card then.

James D Salomon

Thank you for all the kind replies. Thank you Dan MaXx for the extra mail. I was distract with my non- paid part to a movie for a talent agency. I get to go nuts ye haw. I decided to set a goal to lean two opera songs. Music of the Night 2010 Anthony Warlow and bring him home same person. If I do well enough I will put it on the web...LOL

James D Salomon

Ok I get it now. Just as a great book. You must truly believe in your project and must have relative timeline/ story. I feel so much better about this. I have absorbed Robert Jordan Wheel of Time style and now is the time.
