Legally Blonde Script Review

I've been working on a project where I work my way up the WRITERS GUILD OF AMERICA's 101 Greatest Screenplays of the 21st Century and thought I'll share the things that I've learnt along the way. Today's one is LEGALLY BLONDE.

The script available online is not quite the final version that was filmed. Its raunchier and the ending is different, but this is more or less what ended up on the screen.

What I found remarkable is how contemporary and timely it feels even though it came out in 2001- in some ways, it even feels like a precursor to BARBIE. It's also just really funny.

What are your thoughts about the LEGALLY BLONDE script?

Balancing well-written characters with sincerity, Legally Blonde turns out to be as smart and full of surprises as its protagonist.

Thanks for the script, D.L. Holmes. I downloaded it and bookmarked your blog to study if I end up writing a Rom-Com.
