Thinking about my many failures, the following popped into my head: Morpheus: “Stop trying to hit me, hit me!” Freely Translated: “Stop trying to make a movie, make a movie!” It’s not about ‘hoping’ you can make a movie, it’s about ‘knowing’ you can make a movie. It does not matter if it’s a short, a feature or just your adventures holiday cut together. Also money does not always have to be an issue. Success, in whatever form, is about your ‘mindset’ that changes. If your mindset changes everything and everyone around you changes. You don't have to beg anymore , people will come to you. “Now, go get 'em'!!!”

I have a slight variation on this. I am being the best version of me, rather than a poor version of something else. If I write my story, not a paint by numbers formula. I am doing my best work. The realisation that I may not be want the world wants is okay. Therefore I fund my own short films and work on features that I will make one day. I am a pioneer in my own journey. I cannot expect anyone to pay my way. I live and die by my own efforts, blaming no one for my failure confident that success is my own.
