Sony Takes $1bn Loss in Entertainment

With all the talk here lately regarding bad movies and so forth, I thought everyone might find this interesting. This probably has more to do with corporate dealings than anything else, but Sony Entertainment is taking the hit due to (they claim) declining DVD and other home entertainment sales. They also said they were going by hard assets instead of putting value into branding and similar intangibles.
