Writing for animation is exciting because anything is possible—but that freedom can also be overwhelming. One of the biggest challenges writers face is treating animation the same as live action, focusing only on dialogue and forgetting that animation is a visual medium. Another misstep is going too far in the opposite direction—throwing in endless wild ideas without grounding them in story, character, or emotion.
