Time now for a Simple, Silly, Fun, writing exercise that will take you away from Writing’s Daily Grind. Lucky me. I don’t write every day because I’m lazy.

Assignment: Choose one of your screenplay titles and expand it, creating the most AWKWARD and WORST TITLE IMAGINABLE. Bonus Points if you include Spoiler Alert Plot Points.

Good Luck!

I mean, Bad Luck!

“THE DRESS IS FOUND FLOATING IN A POOL BECAUSE NOW IT’S A GHOST”

by Bill Brock

Can you just picture it? A group stands in line at the movie theater, discussing what movie to see.

DUDE: Hey? You guys wanna see “THE DRESS IS FOUND FLOATING IN THE POOL BECAUSE NOW IT’S A GHOST? I hear it’s pretty good. Plus, that Wednesday Addams girl is in it.

Confidence Overlord - A.I. Version

Maurice Vaughan

Haha Bill Brock. I have a ghost script too, but it's about a roach that becomes a ghost. It's a short script called GHOST ROACH. The expanded title is GHOST ROACH GOES TO HOLLYWOOD. That's not really an awkward, worst title though. Ghost Roach could have his own movie series. GHOST ROACH GOES TO HOLLYWOOD, GHOST ROACH GOES TO CHINA, GHOST ROACH IN THE ROACH APOCALYPSE, etc.

Jim Boston

Bill, I'd like to take a stab with..."Small Flyers Lost on an Uncharted Island in the Pacific." (Maybe there's a part for the only surviving "Gilligan's Island" cast member, Tina Louise.)

Ghost Roach Hunts Cockroaches

Jim Boston Ha! Good one, Jim I was always a big Mary Ann fan!

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

“Marisol and Mezzaluna are Everything You Think They Are and None of Them at the Same Time”

Jim Boston

Bill, I loved Mary Ann, too...big time!

Holly Fouche

No clue if I'm doing this right so here goes lol

Escape the Islands: Never Trust Santa or ANY of the "Kids" that Live on the Islands

Bill Brock

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh Nice job, Banafsheh. What is the script's original title, MARISOL AND MEZZALUNA?

Bill Brock

Holly Fouche HA! Yes, Holly! I think you nailed it! : ) Fun, huh?

Banafsheh Esmailzadeh

Thanks Bill Brock, and yes, the original title is Marisol and Mezzaluna :)
