All the Mediums of Transmedia

Just typing that out it felt like a reiteration of "All the Colors of the Rainbow" LOL!

But I digress... What are all the ways you can reach your audience? What are all the mediums available under the "transmedia" banner? Share your best ones, and let's find out together!

Comic books, video games, and tabletop RPGs are for me some of the best mediums for Transmedia projects. Social media interactive experiences can be interesting too. In my opinion, a good transmedia project should have at least one interactive medium or element to truly engage the audience.

LOL! I do have very odd hours sometimes, Meg Stone ;-) And yes, I'm in LA, so PST.

To expand on that, Christian Nommay, I feel like the digital comic book is a separate endeavor from the printed comic book, which can reach a less affluent audience, but have fewer options for transmedia crossovers (like active links in the digital copy). Tabletop RPGs give way for models, which can be collected without the RPG. Let's keep digging!

If you want to talk about digital comics, you should take a look at Webtoons. It's a form of digital comics that started in South Korea and it's becoming more and more popular around the world. I even know US and French artists who started their own Webtoon.

And there are way more options to make digital comics. Over the years, I've even seen interactive comic books, some boosted with Augmented Reality, and motion comics (with small animations). We've barely scratched the surface.

Hi all. I recently got me a pair of VR goggles, which I've been using to immerse myself into my concept art I'm doing for my novels/pilot screenplay - my background is Naval aviation so multi-tasking has been BEATEN into me. With Augmented Reality, I got to thinking, why not set up a live treasure hunt - pokemon style, based on my on-going novella on Kindle Vella - https://www.amazon.com/kindle-vella/story/B097S85MWP (I'm not selling anything, just showing the potential, and it's free by the way).

The bi-weekly on-going episodes will provide clues to the ultimate showdown prize - a tangible product of value - and ends when the novella ends. This all for promoting and drumming up curiosity and publicity for my pilot...what do you think?

Now the problem is, doing it. I multi-task like a mu#$-efer...but like the entertainment industry, success is not built on the sweat of a single person (I just made that up.) Does anyone have an idea where to start? Best of luck to you all. And thanks Karen "Kay" Ross for sending me here. You are AWESOME.

This is a great idea, Abdur!

This reminds me of an article I've read a few years ago about a novelist who recreated the town in his novel with Minecraft, allowing his readers to explore the town in the game. Sadly, I forgot about the title and book's author name.

Hey Christian Nommay That's the idea. Can you imagine seeing the attached pic at a dinner table? I created this in a virtual space between my last post and now...and sitting in there is astounding. I want to share that with an audience lol. I tend to create a scene for the next chapter. One good day.
