"The Half" by Richard Dormer (Fortitude, Game of Thrones) performed by Guy Masterson, directed by David Calvitto is the often hilarious but viciously sad story of a 50 year old, down on-his-luck actor trying to reverse his fortunes by doing a one-man version of Hamlet... He has sold everything to fulfil his obsession and his long suffering wife has deserted him. It's half-an-hour prior to the first performance and he is in his dressing room riddled with self-doubt, self-loathing and superstition, trying to muster the courage to go on... Guy Masterson opened 'The Half' to great acclaim at the Adelaide Fringe in 2011 and thence the Edinburgh Festival. It toured the UK for the following 2 years.
