SO WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

WE ALL HAVE A UNIQUE STORY, IS YOUR’S FUELING YOUR GROWTH OR HOLDING YOU BACK? Many times our story propels us forward in very positive and productive ways, but too often we’re held back by our past. We blame our parents, our upbringing, our bosses, our teachers, mentors or situations, and more often than not, we get stuck, mired down in excuses for why we are not getting what we want. Should I tell you to get over it? Absolutely not, it is a critical and formative part of who you are. Recognizing IF your stories are holding you back can be a key to unlock some pretty awesome possibilities in your life. Once we decide on a belief we become stuck in that belief and lose out on every opportunity that comes our way. If we decide because of a past experience that we're not good enough to do something, then every awesome opportunity that comes my way will involve some form of self talk or self-sabotage that will keep us from trying. I am not good with people. I’m terrible at relationships. I hate traveling. I am not athletic. I can’t draw. I hate networking. Kids hate me. There are thousands of stories we tell ourselves each year to excuse us from what we could be doing! I’d like to suggest that if you can focus each day on all the awesome things you are, and not on all the ways you or others have told you you’re not good enough, that some pretty awesome stuff is ahead for you. Once you recognize what we all see already, that we can jump in to help you get it and help make whatever it is a reality! I hope you will use the last half of 2016 to propel yourself forward, to get unstuck and to remind yourself each morning of how awesome you are. “The Art of Active Networking” is here to help you support your great ideas, to include you and your ideas in the mix of opportunity ahead!
