The details of this story remained covered up for 50 years. The English title, "A Little Pond" refers to a puddle of water where a grandfather was compelled, under the most extreme circumstances, to extinguish the life of his most cherished grandson named Tae-Son - the last remaining member of his bloodline. In the Korean language, the name Tae-Son means great hope, or success.
