10 x 28 min Doc series looking for Netflix/Hulu/Amazon distribution

Hi All - I have been working on a 10 part series for a client. Each episode is roughly 28 minutes long and will ultimately air on a network carried by Direct TV. We'd also like to look into other distribution avenues, however...places like Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. In doing some initial research on this, it seems the way to get into these venues is to work with a content aggregator or distributor who would then secure placement with those distribution platforms. Does anyone know anything about what aggregators/distributors are out there? Does anyone have one (or multiple) they'd recommend or advise others to stay away from? I am reading about Distribber but I'm interested in more traditional distributors as well. Thanks!

This is a hard one. I think us indies are all looking at this. I have found the same - no way to the gate keepers. I have worked with Distribber for a documentary that I have - they were great. I'm trying to find a traditional sales agent at this time... We'll see ...hard stuff.

Thank you Ron. Good to hear you had a good experience with Distribber. I'm not sure of my client's willingness to do the marketing and promotional heavy lifting that using Distribber would require and I work for a post house that can do all the deliverables work that Distribbber builds into it's fee structure, so that's partly why I'm interested in other options. It definitely sounds like a problem lots of content producers are trying to figure out though. Thanks again for your input!

Miramax has a direct pipe into Netflix, Hulu, Amazon.

That's a pretty tall order Ken...

I know they're looking. Start at the top and work your way down can't hurt.
