Hi! My name is Katie Keenan and I'm an actress/comedienne/writer lady. I currently live in Raleigh, North Carolina, BUT I am going to be in LA for the month of March and hopefully from then on! I am very excited about the move and would love to make some connections out there/get some advice on how to get started! While I am there in March I will be looking for work in both a day job capacity and a creative one. I am hoping to submit for agencies and audition and make the most of my time there so that I can get my foot in the door and pack up and move my stuff at the end of the month. What are some things I should check out? What are some good agencies or theaters I can submit to or audition for? Hi Katie - good to see you on here. Congratulations on your big move. I just completed my move from the east coast about a year and a half ago. My experience was totally different, but that's because I'm not 100% in the industry per-se, but one thing that helps is meeting people. Get to know people in the industry, whether on here or even better in person and create strong bonds. Best of luck to you.

One thing that is important to remember is to be kind to everyone you meet. Janitors, executive producers, actors, crew. They all are people and they all have pull and influence. If you are kind to everyone, then you stick in their minds. the more people you meet and are kind to, the more people are inclined to help you along with your dreams. That and we are all human and there really needs to be more kindness in the world. so just be kind to everyone.
