Hello! I have been looking for a group of editors in the city where I just moved, in Warsaw /Poland, and could not find any...so I was quite happy to find this plateform where you can see the work of other people, exchange and eventually meet for real (well, no "Meetup" is scheduled in Warsaw for now but I hope that it will one day!) I am ready to go the ones in Berlin or Paris or Brussels... Myself, I left my country at my early twenties to be on the road and it lasted 10 years, travelling around the world, doing all kind of jobs, meeting a lot of people, learning new languages, and having experience in different countries. So yeah nothing about video, I never graduated from a video school, even never had a camera on that time as I had no money for that ... Until one day, someone gave me one and told me to do something during my travels and this is how it came in my life. So now, I have been editing since 2 years as an autoditact (Premiere Pro & After Effects) created a video project, and been enjoying shooting & editing A LOT ! Unfortunately, I don t know anyone in video editing, and I miss talking about this subject ... So well, very happy to meet you all and hope to share more in the future ! Well, none so far in Europe, but check it under 'Meetups'. There you can find the metope groups in your area. I didn't find any in central Europe.
Me neither ... it is sad because a lot is happening here, but it may comes soon, who knows ?
There's nothing stopping anyone from starting their own meetup. If you wait around for others nothing is achieved. If the founder of this site had waited for others to set up a site they wanted to see, Stage 32 wouldn't exist. Good luck.
