Bipolar & Cheese uses humor to raise awareness surrounding the stigma around Bipolar Disorder, showing us that life is still normal with a little adjusting ... and some cheese. OTHER FILMS DEALING WITH MENTAL ILLNESS In recent years, Bipolar Disorder has become a highly talked about subject. Celebrities such as Catherine Zeta-Jones, Glenn Close and others have revealed their personal struggles with their diagnosis in order to redefine the way we view mental health, particularly in America. Films such as David Russell’s, Silver Lining’s Playbook starring Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence & Robert DeNiro not only received critical acclaim, countless nominations and one Oscar win for lead actress Jennifer Lawrence. SLP, adapted from the novel of the same name, captured the essence of humor, humanity, family and romantic love using sports and dance competitions remaining entertaining. Other independent films such as Manic (Joseph Gordon Levitt, Zooey Deschanel & Don Cheadle) have dealt with the topic, Margaret (Anna Paquin, Matt Damon, Mark Ruffalo) have also dealt with the more serious side of various forms of mental illness. Bipolar & Cheese provides a quirky look into the initial diagnosis triggered by love & cheese. Cast: Vivian Bang is best-known for her supporting role as "Soo-Mi" in Warner Brothers' comedy, Yes Man (2008), starring Jim Carrey, and the lead in TBS comedy series, "Sullivan & Son" (2012), produced by Vince Vaughn) Alastair James Murden plays the love interest, Brad, and Louis B. Jack plays her Psychiatrist, Dr. Smith. Writer/Director: Scarlet’s first feature screenplay “BIPOLAR AND CHEESE” has gained an exciting buzz, good reviews, and nominations from screenplay competitions. Scarlet Co-Directed and Edited two award winning Public Service Announcements for KAISER SAFE SEX dealing with the issue of Oral Sex amongst teenagers "Sex in the High School" and "Gender Bender." Both spots won GOLD CREATIVITY BDA awards at PROMAX in 2004. Currently, Scarlet works at BRAVO ON-AIR PROMOTIONS as a Writer/Producer/Editor, creating Promos and Trailers for shows such as “The Real Housewives” series and “Top Chef”.
