Converting a Screenplay to a TV Series Spec Script

I know you're cutting it in half - page wise, but I know NOTHING about writing for TV. I have a screenplay that I've been told would make a great series and I have no idea how to do that. What is different about it? I've learned a little about writing a bible, but I don't know what they want to hear in an initial pitch or if there are structural differences in the writing itself. I'm looking for help anywhere I can find it so if you have information or if you know of webinars, etc - it would all be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!!!

I've wondered about this, too. Can anyone recommend any good guides out there for writing to TV format?

Well, from what I know first you will need to create a Pilot (about 60 pages) then 9, 11 or 12 episodes (45-55 pages each) Most TV series today are 13 episodes but there are some with 10 like Falling Skies. If you follow a 3 ACT structure, finish the complete series, then you stand some chance like in DeAnn's case where someone has already suggested or recommended the feature script transformation. As for guides, I have a lot of e-books. Michelle, if you need something, I can only mail it to you or I can upload it somewhere and send you a download link.
