I am thrilled to announce that THE HAND OF A WOMAN, my swords and sandals screenplay based on chapters 4 and 5 of the Bible's Book of Judges, won the $10,000 second runner up Kairos Prize for Spiritually Uplifting Screenplays (sponsored by Movieguide and the John Templeton Foundation) at the Movieguide Awards on Friday 5 February. Movieguide flew me to Los Angeles from Alice Springs, Australia, and put me up at the Universal Hilton for four nights! I got to walk the red carpet at the awards! Highly recommend this contest if you have a screenplay that meets their guidelines!

Thanks, all of you for your congratulatory notes! Phil, I'd like to pm you regarding next steps, if you don't mind... The head of Movieguide urged the five of us who won ($50,000 Chronos Prize winner, writing duo $25,000 Kairos Prize winners, and $15,000 and $10,000 Kairos Prize runners up) to act while the win is fresh.
