I would like to take a few minutes of your time to say hi. Ok, here goes...Hi. My name is Mike and I am an independent filmmaker from Dublin, TX. That's right the Irish capital of Texas. I have been pursuing this career for about 8 or so years, but being from a small town makes it a challenge to find, well everything, such as crew and cast. Glad to be a part of a community that is dedicated to this career field and look forward to speaking and possibly working with some of you.

You guys march on St .Patrick's day? right? I am up here in NYC. I am a screenwriter in the Woody Allen/Mel Brooks/Billy Wilder/Neil Simon style. I tend to stay close to my native New Yorker comic roots. Because you know what they say write what you know. And where you know. However I do have scripts in sci-fi and animation as well. Anyway when RB says it's an Introduce yourself weekend it's his way of reminding us to get out there and network among our community. And after meeting RB at Tribeca last year where I had just joined Stage 32. I always listen to our fearless leader . After all we share roots. We are both from Brooklyn. He is from Bensonhurst. I am from Canarsie. So best of luck on all your future projects.
Thank you Steven and Joey. Yes Steven we have a huge Saint Patrick's Day celebration here. I have not been to the state or city of New York, thought about a visit though. Joey, Texas is an amazing place, and so versatile when it comes to filmmaking, although in the small town I am in, it can be daunting to find everything I need since most around here are farmers, ranchers and dairymen. I try not to let it get to me since there is a University within 15 miles in the next town over, so I try to utilize the theatre dept. there when I can. All in all I have high hopes that my endeavors will come to fruition. Great to meet you both.
Hi Mike, welcome aboard :) It's not that easy when you're from a small town or where there are few people whit your same interests. Stage32 is a great place to expand your connections ;)
