Introduce Yourself : Homeless no more! by Cali Gilbert

Hello Everyone! My name is Cali and I've been a member of this fabulous Stage 32 Family for a little over a year now. SO much has happened the last few years, not sure where to begin. I came to Los Angeles from San Francisco in October, 2013 with suitcase in hand and a dream. I didn't have a home, nor a job, but I dreamt of becoming a bestselling author. I had just published my 5th book, It's Simply Serendipity which I wrote, marketed and published while I was homeless. It went on to become a #1 International Bestseller. I haven't posted in some time as I just wrapped a 4-month book tour across America with my 7th book, PEARL which is the sequel to Serendipity. I am now a 7-time bestselling author. Who knew? :) In January I took a few days off from my book tour to support the Inaugural Coronado Island Film Festival where I had the opportunity to photograph many of the film screenings and parties (also an award winning photographer). It was so much fun meeting everyone and Coronado is such a warm, welcoming community. The highlight was being able to FINALLY see the film INSIDE OUT with producer, Jonas Rivera who happened to LOVE my book. I loved it SO much that I decided to move here and now call Coronado Island home as well as Santa Monica. I am currently working with my publishing company to support heart-centered women publish their transformational books, and I'm also working on adapting my books to FILM. I currently have a short film in the works entitled SAVE ME SAUSALITO. The script is currently in rewrites. Hoping to wrap that up by year's end and then take it through the film fest circuit.
