Revisions and editing

How do you know when your script is flawless?

David Taylor

It never is - but it should hopefully be 'mistake free'. It reaches a point where you are suitably satisfied to expose it to others.

Jody Ellis

Never flawless, always a work in progress.

Shawn Speake

I wouldn't think 'flawless' - I would think 'ready'. When we've got the story we're ready to see - we love it - our readers love it - it's so good, I can't decide whether to sell it, or shoot it myself - I haven't gotten there yet, but! Ultimately it's not our decision. I believe we're ready when our Fans says, we're ready. They lift us!

okay maybe not flawless, cause of the implication it makes. Nothing is perfect.

Pierre Langenegger

Never flawless, never finished. When you reach a stage that it's acceptable to you then you are done.

Phillip E. Hardy, "The Pro From Dover"

I'll know when I catch a glimpse of my first unicorn, standing by the wreckage of Noah's Ark.

Jon Davis

When you're standing on the red carpet at the premiere.

Jordan Minter

When you're watching the final cut

Bill Costantini

When your name is Joel Schumacher, and it stars Robert De Niro and Phillip Seymour Hoffman (RIP). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0155711/

Lina Jones

Aaaww Dan you shouldn't be so hard on yourself what ever you do don't give up, there are lots of stories to be told out there.

Anthony Moore

Perfection is in the eye of the beholder. Once you fix the spelling and grammatical errors, the rest is opinion.

William Martell

Nothing is ever perfect. You keep rewriting until you get meetings... even then: I had a producer request of script of mine recently and I did a quick rewrite (improved it).
